BiziTrack ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our platform.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: Business name, email, phone, location, currency, and business type provided during registration.

Business Data: Products, sales transactions, expenses, inventory records, employee information, customer records, credit entries, invoices, and financial data you enter into the platform.

Usage Data: Login frequency, features used, device type, browser, IP address, and app performance data collected automatically.

Payment Data: Subscription payments are made by MTN Mobile Money. We do not store credit card numbers or mobile money PINs.

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide, maintain, and improve the BiziTrack service
To process your transactions and sync data across your devices
To calculate payroll, taxes, and financial reports as requested
To send account-related communications and service updates
To generate aggregated, anonymized market insights and benchmarks
To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraud

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your individual business data. We may share data only:

With tax authorities (EFRIS, eTIMS, etc.) when you enable tax compliance features — only the invoice data you explicitly submit
With MTN Mobile Money for subscription payments — only the paying phone number, amount and transaction reference
With Supabase (our cloud provider) for data storage — under strict data processing agreements
When required by law or valid legal process
In aggregated, anonymized form that cannot identify your business

4. Your Customer's Data

When you enter your customer's information (names, phone numbers, purchase history) into BiziTrack, you act as the data controller. You are responsible for informing your customers that their data is stored digitally and for complying with applicable data protection laws. We process this data only as directed by you through the platform.

5. Data Security

We protect your data with SSL/TLS encryption in transit, encrypted cloud storage, row-level security (each business can only access its own data), regular automated backups, and role-based access control within your organization.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. After account deletion or 30 days past subscription expiry, data may be permanently removed. Aggregated analytics derived from your data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your Rights

You may request to export all your data (CSV/JSON), correct inaccurate data through the app, delete your account and all associated data, and opt out of promotional communications. Contact us at support@bizitrack.app.

8. Children's Privacy

BiziTrack is designed for business use and is not intended for individuals under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy with notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
